I'm Ready For My Close-Up…Part 2
Life is crazier than usual these days with an impending move coming my way, overlapping freelance assignments, and the daily goings-on at the studio. What with all the activity it can be easy to let this blog slide, but as it turns out Heritage Auctions has thankfully come to my rescue in the form of yet another Illustration Art Auction.
This round features their usual wide selection of artists from a variety of time periods and genres, but most importantly it continues to do so in glorious high-res!
As I mentioned in a previous post, these files are an absolute gift, and I urge everyone to head on over and peruse their offerings at your earliest convenience. The catalogue will be up until June 28th, giving you enough time to dig your way through some 898 pieces of art. If you are of more than modest means, this show offers a number of these artist’s works at a very reasonable price for the market.
If you live in the Southern California area, you get the bonus of seeing these pieces of art first hand as they will be previewing the lots June 25-27 at their Beverly Hills location.
So yeah… short post today. But a short post means more room for more pictures, so take a look below at some of the pieces you will find on the site. As is usually the case with these auctions I have discovered a new name or two from the annuals of Illustration. Some of their work is seen here as well.
I have also taken the liberty of linking the Wikipedia page for each artist to their captioned name so that the reader can more readily access further information about the individual artist. Take the time to find out more about your favorites. Take even more time to learn about your new ones!
